About Erdinger

About 20 miles north-east of Munich there's a small, idyllic town in the heart of Old Bavaria: Erding. It's here that the world-famous Erdinger Weissbier beer has been brewed since 1886. Originally known just in Bavaria, we pioneered wheat beer's popularity in Germany from 1980 onwards and around the world since 1990. We produce a highly perfected product which is still brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. The finest wheat and barley malt, together with selected hops and crystal clear water from our own deep wells, are just part of the genuine wheat beer flavor. One of the secrets of Erdinger's unspoiled and deliciously sparkling wheat beer specialties is to be found in the fine top-fermenting yeast from our own pure cultures. Every drop is sheer enjoyment – Erdinger Weissbier is simply unique! The history of the Erdinger Weissbräu brewery is a true success story: while annual output reached some 2,500 hectoliters in 1935, the brewery now produces over 8,000 hectoliters per day! We also know how to perfect a product with centuries of tradition: our own team of brewmasters is constantly developing and perfecting our expertise and brewing technology. The whole world is supplied with Erdinger beer from our state-of-the-art facilities in Erding. Over 400 motivated employees ensure that our products are enjoyed by even more fans of genuine wheat beer.
